<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@gamingonlinux" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>gamingonlinux</span></a></span> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.online/@RiQuY" class="u-url mention" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">@<span>RiQuY</span></a></span> thinking about it, though, this would make it simpler <em>for 'normies'</em>, I think?</p><p>right now, we have inconsistency between whether 'Playable' means the <em>entire</em> game is playable or just a single mode of it. whichever of those is 'correct' is irrelevant for as long as the specification is ambiguous enough to allow it to happen. instead, you <em>have</em> to refer to 3rd-party testing - a la ProtonDB - to work out if GTA V supports Online...</p><p>(aside: saying that Playable requires both modes to be functional is also not ideal: some people won't want to play Online, so it's giving <em>them</em> more work to identify if it's <em>actually</em> non-functional or if it's good enough for them to play.)</p><p>A 'Partially Playable' (or equiv. wording) category would solve the ambiguity ('Playable' <em>must</em> hence be completely functional), and make this simpler: GTA V is Partially Playable (which part should be noted in the support modal).</p><p>Because some people will not want to play GTA Online and would be fine with that. For others, no GTA Online is a dealbreaker and being advertised as 'Playable' would feel like a scam.</p>
