<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://tech.lgbt/@sydney" class="u-url mention">@<span>sydney</span></a></span> so this is, as far as i understand, completely normal</p><p>the phenomenon i&#39;m referring to has two key parts:<br />1. you can&#39;t really control it in any meaningful sense, no matter how much misery it causes you<br />2. it isn&#39;t just additive. it rewrites who you are to the point where in more extreme cases your friends don&#39;t recognize you anymore, even from just the way you stand and speak, much less from the shift in interests and personality</p>
