<p>I'm really sad that, seemingly overnight, the default alternatives to Twitter that you find listed various places are Threads and Bluesky.</p><p>At some level, I feel like we as a society have entirely failed to learn a single lesson from what happened to Twitter.</p><p>More than anything, though, I'm sad because that means losing touch. Everything else aside, I am not at a point in my life where I can go through another hype/bust cycle for another VC-funded social media platform.</p>
