<p>I was a physics nerd growing up. Originally wanted to be an astronomer before I discovered I wasn't smart enough. Also fond of math.</p><p>A lot of programmers of my generation were similar. I sure hope modern programmers get a lot more biology, which exposes one to completely different, also valid, ways in which the natural world operates.</p><p>Ones that I have come to suspect can counter the problems of a physics/math-like approach to solving complex problems.</p>
