<p>Now I'm going to say it as aggressively as I feel it: I think telling people "no one knows what they are doing" is actively harmful both to the learner and the profession as a whole.</p><p>You can shut people down just as much with affirmation as with correction. We should enthusiastically "yes, and" people's learning.</p>
