<p>As a bilingual French/English speaker visiting <a href="https://mastodon.xyz/tags/Montreal" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>Montreal</span></a>, I find it very hard to decide between "Hello" and "Bonjour" when I enter a store. Most places have bilingual staff, but some places seem to have a strong preference for one or the other. Should I just toss a coin? What do the locals do?</p>
