<p>Man, I f-ing love universities. Thanks to <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://fosstodon.org/@monkey1" class="u-url mention">@<span>monkey1</span></a></span> I got introduced to Rob Martinez, one of the nation's leading Dante scholars, who happens to be at Brown. Just spent 1.5 hours w/ him in a coffee shop asking questions.</p><p>Eg: "I'm trying to understand the conception of the body in the Divine Comedy" [truncated]; he replied right off the top of his head, "Ah, that's in Purgatorio Canto 25" and elaborated. The assholes destroying universities can never understand such expertise.</p>
