I always worry about this class of parts that are relatively unique, relatively expensive, and relatively low volume. Many in this class won&#39;t be used in high volume designs because they can be replaced by a small cheap fpga or subsumed into a larger asic. Without a big market player to keep the volume up, I think they are all at risk of (doomed to?) disappearing with short notice. It&#39;s hard to design without them up front, but risky to design with them.</p>
