I always worry about this class of parts that are relatively unique, relatively expensive, and relatively low volume. Many in this class won't be used in high volume designs because they can be replaced by a small cheap fpga or subsumed into a larger asic. Without a big market player to keep the volume up, I think they are all at risk of (doomed to?) disappearing with short notice. It's hard to design without them up front, but risky to design with them.</p>
