So this is only day one and I started at 5 PM, and I spent a significant portion of the intervening time watching anime, but already I have a garbage collector with a most innovative approach. It's a copy collector with two spaces, and when the first of the two spaces fills up, the program simply crashes. I estimate this operation will complete in significantly less time than a normal stop-and-copy pass. Has an approach such as this ever been deployed in industry?
