<p>I *think* I'm doing this in pforth, for the simple reason that gforth, uh, isn't maintained anymore it seems, and so got dropped out of Debian Testing (which I have now)? I *think* I'd be *happier* using RetroForth, which is a "modern" Forth, but I guess it's better to learn the standardized, ANS Forth first. Even though everyone hates ANS Forth? Including the inventor of Forth…?</p><p>My biggest fear is there appears to be no way to read numbers written in ASCII from a file. We're predating ASCII</p>
