<p>Reminder to folks who participate in open source projects and want those projects to get coverage / eyeballs:</p><p>- Release announcements should describe whatever the project/release is/does. Don't assume readers know this.</p><p>- Release notes should be human-readable. That means describing new features and changes in a way that makes sense to potential users, not just contributors and existing users.</p><p>- Screenshots: If your application has a GUI, include some! Users want to see before downloading.</p>
