One of my rare pieces of name dropping: Herself and I got to briefly visit with McMurtry at Booked Up in Archer City. He told me an anecdote about the book I was buying, a different copy, that is. (At his store in DC, a fella tried to sell him a stolen first edition of De Re Metallica, and he had to get cops involved. Mayhem ensued.) </p><p>And yeah, amazing place. This was about 2009, I think.</p>
