And for decades Apple had the leverage to come first and trust the eggs would follow. But the goodwill ran out and so unfortunately you’re left with some devs refusing to take a financial risk at launch on a low-user product and some devs saying “I’m not going to build your moat for you when you treat us like shit, do it without us at launch” and then it turns out no one else joins in.</p>
