But then my music taste only tangentially aligns with these lists anyway. It does, as you note, seem written my someone who writes about rather than loves music. Moreover, it feels like an act of hubris to create a $450 book that will date the second it leaves the printers. (By contrast, the hardware photos one is more a historical document – even if that was also ludicrously overpriced.)</p>
