Not because it demonizes prescription meds that are in the same chemical family, but because it tacitly reinforces the outdated and damaging view that the problems associated with addiction are caused by the drugs themselves and not the socio-cultural contexts that people start using to cope with and the criminalization and stigmatization that makes actual recovery all but impossible</p>
