<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@whitequark" class="u-url mention">@<span>whitequark</span></a></span> </p><p>I once changed jobs from a shop with our own custom set of pretty light linting rules to a big corpo job that had some off the shelf monstrosity that wanted every single thing to be formatted the same.</p><p>The one senior dev on the team hymned and hawed when I raised the pr to turn off half the garbage rules being enforced but could not defend any of them. </p><p>Everyone on the team was slightly less stressed after that day.</p>
