<p>After 43 years as a professional software geek, I have to confess, I still really enjoy coding.</p><p>I wonder how many of today's professional software geeks feel that way.</p><p>At one time, it was nearly a universal feeling, now I'm not so sure. The trade has transformed dramatically, and, in my view at least, horrifically.</p>
