@aetios@sns.minovsky.space I've seen this so much and it's pretty frustrating. Complaining about intrusive ads and 'spying' on YouTube, then when YT comes out with for-pay ad-free version people say "I'd never give my money to google". Or this article on onsets, where the author, who writes new articles about the evils of big tech every day, tells us that paying $300 a year for a search engine AS A PROFESSIONAL TOOL is 'bonkers expensive' (https://www.osnews.com/story/136829/the-end-of-the-googleverse/). We'll see how everything will play out.
