The most striking one (to my eye) is that Detroit has actually substantially recovered from the all-time low it suffered around 2010 and is now unironically one of the better areas in the country to be (if you told someone in 2010 that walking the streets of downtown Detroit would be safer than walking the streets in downtown San Francisco, he probably would have given you a funny look and written you off as a complete lunatic, but that's just the reality we live in now)
