But if governments can sign KOSA and the like into law, I have little doubt that their next step will be to ban censorship evasion.<br />You can already see that with Great Firewall of China and with Russia blocking all cross-border OpenVPN traffic.<br />If a government set out to destroy freedom of speech and privacy of communication and there are no mechanisms to stop it, it will. There must be mechanisms that make KOSA just as impossible to pass as a bill to enslave all Black people or strip women of their voting rights.<br />That's a long way off.</p>
