From a programming perspective I think that maps to doing things the "normal" way -- std libraries, common software patterns, but also common tools (git, the usual build system for your language, etc.). </p><p>From software development perspective, yeah it is probably about meeting user expectations and interacting well with other apps (using the system UI, supporting copy/paste, accessibility, etc.)</p>
