<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://firefish.city/@DavidBHimself" class="u-url mention">@<span>DavidBHimself</span></a></span> Yeah, agree. </p><p>There are certainly people who got burned with social media and the consequences of having a part of their life out for people to search on, but everyone needed to sign up, pick a cute avatar, write some sort of intro and then push "post" or "toot" or whatever for every single update.</p><p>I don't have to read the legalese on my server or be "shocked" and "gobsmacked" by its contents, because I know full well that what I post will somehow survive me out on the Internet.</p>
