It is also not felt as necessary for everyone. Both options are useful, and mastodon still defaults to not autodeleting even if that is an available option for anyone that want it. I see no problems here. The problem is when instances disappear entirely. It should be possible to move accounts and toots without any loss of data.</p><p>I see attempts of &quot;nomadic identity&quot; management at other places, maybe in the future it will work for everyone.</p>
