<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@neuronakaya" class="u-url mention">@<span>neuronakaya</span></a></span> the original crucifying method used nails slightly proximal/through the wrist, so the body weight would pull them down and torture them. The nails on the picture are through the hand, that would have ripped off quickly.<br />The feet normally were nailed down to make the pain worse and limit the ability to stand upright.</p><p>Still pretty painful like that, but if they really want to reenact it I would be disappointed.</p>
