GraphineOS bypasses that and makes the process automatic.</p><p>A couple of things to watch out for:</p><p> GraphineOS works only on Pixels, which are not cheap. If you get a used one, good chance the phone is locked by the manufacturer, and you can't install custom ROMs. </p><p>Also, it can really "dumb down" the phone. I can tell you more if interested; been using it for 2 years.</p>
