<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@Mango_PG" class="u-url mention">@<span>Mango_PG</span></a></span> By "no IDE" I mean using no tool that provides programming assistance beyond basic text editing (no autocomplete, error hints, etc.). I'm using emacs, but vim would be fine too.</p><p>As for the "why", I'm trying to build a solid working set of knowledge about Rust so that I can be productive without thinking about it too much. An analogy might be music--I should be able to play scales and chords in tune without any hand-holding.</p>
