Possibly because of following a small number of people, I was oblivious until a few days ago. I had bailed from Twitter (now X), & fosstodon sounded like a good match due to having written a reasonably large Java class library and some applications that use it. I didn't know about a "no politics" rule - the 'Explore' section shows political comments from other instances and it is not clear if a reply to those is OK or not.</p>
