<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://donotsta.re/users/mei" class="u-url mention">@<span>mei</span></a></span> <span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@whitequark" class="u-url mention">@<span>whitequark</span></a></span> That reminds me of the banked memory architecture on 8-bit PICs.</p><p>Where you only had 256 bytes of address range withing a single bank, accessing anything else involved changing the bank selector, and you had a few common SFRs at constant addresses in every bank.</p><p>I&#39;m sure it only used a handful of gates but man it was a pain to program for lol.</p>
