<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@mcc" class="u-url mention">@<span>mcc</span></a></span> i would have said "they should've kept the ones they could" but i also don't think that, realistically, they could have; the Budapest Memorandum, as far as i can tell, was more of a concession to a more orderly transfer of the weapons than any meaningful negotiation of power</p>
