<p><span class="h-card" translate="no"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@whitequark" class="u-url mention">@<span>whitequark</span></a></span> working with ancient versions of GCC, and a lot of GNU tools in fact, i'm tempted to just remove them from the tarballs. they're worse than useless, they take up huge chunks of space, and they split them off into new files on a whim, so you end up with miles of "Changelog.<year>" and "Changelog.<numbered>" data you won't ever glance at, because... reasons?</p>
