@piepants@famichiki.jp @NanoRaptor@bitbang.social *what* also this reminds me of the time I unintentionally nerd-sniped a chemical engineer friend of mine for 8 hours by asking why I pulled a (non-leaking but dead) PRAM battery and found that it had reversed polarity (answer: the discharge products of a Li-SOCl2 battery react with the iron in the battery case, and at extremely low states of charge, can reverse the polarity. that reaction is *also* why they leak.)
