Though I wonder how much that *actually* happens in the US? I guess it&#39;s not a thing I&#39;ve expressly looked for when eyeballing the bibliographies of Western popular histories. But there are clearly many indirect, &quot;trickle down&quot; routes (like PhD ⭢ book ⭢ magazine article sources ⭢ pop hist).</p>
