<p>Any <a href="https://toot.me.uk/tags/gimp" class="mention hashtag" rel="tag">#<span>gimp</span></a> experts on here (or other advice on this).<br />Taking a picture on a clean (ish) white background with a slight shadow. Obviously white is not perfect (255/255/255).</p><p>I want to make the background white, keeping the shadow.</p><p>I can fuzzy select with tolerance and feather, but that is not right as it feathers the hard product edges too. Less feathering leaves a hard edge on the shadow.</p><p>I want to select a soft edge on a fuzzy select based on how far off the selected white it is. I think.</p>
