@jesu from worst to least bad, are 1. Refusing to explain a single thing at all. I don't think this game benefits from having a single word of written text besides controls tutorials. There are monoliths that cryptically say something but I am not going to go figure out the language they came up with just for a tidbit of explanation of what's going on. As far as I am concerned the only things I actually understand at least a tiny bit is the cutscene at the beginning. 2. Hiding important upgrades and items in obscure places (even though they are marked with a tiny symbol most of the time), so you can go through a dungeon and get nothing in return because you missed the place that gives you your reward, since they are all hidden. 3. The upgrades are barely helpful and don't make you any more powerful at all. I only played like half of the game, I guess, but I would really prefer if there was any way at all to increase the amount of HP I have, as far as I understand you can only get more healing charges and 5 HP is too little because of [4]. Same thing with base damage, unless there is actually a melee weapon with base damage higher than 1. 4. A lot of things in the game do 2 damage when you only have 5 HP at most. Most of big boss attacks do 2 damage, so you can get stunlocked and killed in 3 hits very easily, and if they manage to summon any adds then you're as good as dead, it feels like 5. The controls. I'm pretty sure it's not my controller since I tried it both wired and wireless, I think the game does not buffer button presses either at all or too little. There are way, way to many times I am really sure my button presses were supposed to do something but they did not. Related, [6] 6. Because there are cooldowns on attacks and dashes and the game does not seem to buffer inputs, it's very difficult to actually get into any kind of rhythm with it, as it seems to just randomly ignore an input once in a while and either break the fast-dash-combo which starts a second or so cooldown where I can't dash at all, or break the attack combo in the middle of the 3 attacks you can do in a row and also start a cooldown of about the same length where you can't attack 7. The map is completely incomprehensible. It might be me, I'm not sure, but I seriously can barely read what it tries to say. The overworld map is fine, even if barely useful, but the room map just makes no sense at all to me. Too many lines, no legend, no explanation, the character icon moves in incomprehensible way through the map. It felt completely useless in understanding where to go to, so I just have to hug the corners of the map and look for unmarked exits because there sure are a lot of those. 8. Since the map is, to me, impossible to actually understand, it would help if there were more than 1-2 portals per map zone, so I wouldn't have to travers the entire map by feel/memory to find the last triangle piece. 9. I know it's a secret finding game, so this is at the bottom, but when I have the last triangle piece left it's really annoying that I have to comb through the entire map zone trying to figure out where it is. I know the game plays a sound when you're kind of nearby a triangle piece but a lof of them are in remote rooms with a long way to them, so the sound is barely relevant. It reveals 4 for you on the map I think but I of course wanted to find all 8, though turns out that doesn't actually give you anything that great? I'm not sure, I got a green sword and since the game does not say what is different about it, I can only guess that it may be giving more weapon energy or something, because the damage on it is still 1 10. At the very bottom because this is very subjective, but it is way, way too difficult right from the start with zero ramp-up. It's brutal from the beginning and it does not get easier at all even with upgrades, except giving me more second chances with healing. The bosses are especially way, way too difficult with very little space for mistakes. And I can't even change my tactics or something like that, since the only weapon I can really change is the ranged one and that barely helps. So far it looks like the best tactic is to play as defensively as possible and cheese mechanics so the boss doesn't spawn any adds. If they do spawn any adds, the boss moves so fast I don't understand how I am supposed to deal with both at the same time. And the both at the west spawns guys who have 3 HP while I do 1 damage with my melee or 1-2 damage with a weapon I have to somehow aim at the enemy while dodging the boss (You get the 3 damage ranged weapon after getting 8 pieces in that zone which I think you can't do without defeating the zone boss). Unless I'm forgetting something this is what I dislike about this game.
