So I generally know that there’s two groups of people who identify as progressives: 1. Political progressives 2. Cultural progressives Sometimes these groups overlap but not always. Imagine a Venn diagram if you will. But the group that I’m very leery about are people who are cultural progressives but *not* political progressives because their progressivism is entirely performative and is largely about the social status associated with progressivism. They’re wearing a costume. Now the reason I know they’re not politically progressive is because at every turn any actual progress happens, they try their hardest to sabotage the cause by sealioning and concern trolling. Or worse, when they’re in positions of power, hide behind decorum and procedure to prevent any change from happening. This is why I put no stock in the *aesthetics* of progressivism.
