I think because I get excited at many new things, I'm lucky. But, I recall one time (certainly not the first nor last I got excited for tech) wen I had that "holy fucking shit!" moment was September 1992, first few days at University, and I tried IRC the 1st time. Even email the day before was cool but not like IRC. Wait, so I join some "room" on a computer and start chatting with strangers from around the world, like real time!?!? Mind blown!!!</p>
