<p><span class="h-card"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@Popehat" class="u-url mention">@<span>Popehat</span></a></span> <span class="h-card"><a href="https://mastodon.social/@blogdiva" class="u-url mention">@<span>blogdiva</span></a></span> </p><p>I guess in some states it’s only a wrist slap worthy misdemeanor for killing someone by car unless you are intoxicated or leave the scene of the crash or if there are minors involved. </p><p>Why are our laws such that it’s a different level of crime to drive while drunk versus driving sober at high speed? Aren’t you willfully endangering others? </p><p>is there a state by state breakdown of those laws. In nyc it seems that people get killed by car and have no justice.</p>
