incredible how writing 'trans rights' on the pcb has become even more important than when we started the project. what a world huh.

overall this batch has gone well i think. fingers crossed people don't discover huge issues when they receive their units. i am very tired.

aiming got 650 for the first production batch. we're officially out of batch 1 PCBs now! so the remaining units in this batch will be made from either the pre-prod boards (they're basically the same; just 1 ESD diode i need to replace) or repaired batch 1 units that we pulled out due to QC issues (mostly a soldering issue with the buttons that should be easy to correct)

almost there.....

anyway, this (all of this. don't look it up unless you want to become really, really unhappy) is why i don't really hang out in plural spaces

if we're doing collective punishment as a way of making spaces function, can we also introduce "polycule responsibility" as a formal concept?

(i'm not being sarcastic. i think there are enough cases where the polycule members are functionally the same entity to warrant that, and i think it would be useful as a policy, too. i also don't see anyone actually doing that)

"system responsibility" is, fundamentally, collective punishment. the fact that you can't make a space work without enforcing it doesn't make it fundamentally more okay; it just means you accept a limitation by necessity
