Are you sure?</p><p>I've heard some very interesting stories from folks involved in the design process of some wirelessly controlled toys.</p><p>See, to get FCC intentional radiator testing done they needed to measure the radiation pattern and do other EMC testing in a device configuration that mirrored the actual intended usage.</p><p>Which meant putting the product in an RF chamber in an as-used configuration.</p><p>Which meant fabricating a mannequin with RF properties comparable to human tissue, including orfices in the appropriate location for the DUT to be inserted into.</p><p>This particular one was nRF based IIRC, but I'm sure before BLE became the preferred interface for such things there was some USB control in use.</p>
